We envision the following key outcomes for the center:

 

Being recognized as the leading center in the world

for the study of technology transfer and its impact on organizational performance and economic and social development

Advancing knowledge

on how to enhance the effectiveness of technology transfer

Enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion

in the commercialization of science

Designing and implementing survey instruments

to assess technology transfer and performance at multiple levels (individual, organizational, regional, and societal) and at multiple types of institutions (firms, universities, federal/national labs and public research institutes)

Developing “best practice” methodologies

in technology transfer at multiple levels of analysis and for multiple types of institutions  

Raising over $25 million

in grants, donations (including the possibility of naming the center), and contract research over a five-year period

Developing unique educational programs

Graduate, executive education, and certificate programs in the relatively untapped space of technology transfer
